History

Fife's first Point-to-Point was held on 19th March 1892 at Bruntshiels Farm near Ceres. The first race of the day was the Welter Race, which was won in “under 20 minutes” by a hatless Sir Ralph Anstruther of Balcaskie riding Aide de Camp. He finished in a “sea of mist” after his opponents had taken the wrong course!
